Fotis Kapetopoulos heads Kape Communications. He has experience in multicultural services, arts programming, management, audience research, policy development and marketing. Between 1993 and 2001, Fotis was the director for Multicultural Arts Victoria; there he initiated a marketing approach to multicultural arts resulting in programs on a local and international level. Fotis initiated exchanges with Singapore, Malaysia, India, Hungary and Greece and was the arts representative on the 2000 AMF delegation to China.

Kape Communications manage MAPD in partnership with the Australia Council for the Arts, RMIT University and the Australian Multicultural Foundation, and produced Who goes there? in 2004, a national multicultural audience case studies report on Carnivale NSW, Para//elo Theatre, kultour for the Australia Council.

Kape Communications consulted for Walker International Communications Ltd (NYC), the Arts Centre (VIC), Cultural Partners Ltd, The Australian Ballet, Melbourne Theatre Company, Grand Union Orchestra (UK) and Essential Media Communications.

Kape Communications managed and marketed Arte Kanela’s Flamenco Rocks, the Grand Union Orchestra for Australia and the Donna Walker-Kuhne (NY) national forums in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.

Fotis holds a BA Hon in Politics, a GD and MA in International Tourism Marketing, an Internship from the Smithsonian Institution, Washington DC. He secured an Asialink Management Residency at the Singapore Arts Council (NAC) where he facilitated a Memorandum of Understanding between the NAC and Arts Victoria.

Fotis performs text/sound and has published non-fiction and fiction in various arts, media and entertainment publications.
